Hi. My name is Jim O'Baid. On my radio show (just a small one) I'm known as "Uncle Pepe". I am no one large in the entertainment industry but I have been working it for many years and I have been blessed with knowledge that I want to share.

I have made a good many contacts in the music industry in particular and those wonderful people have taught me a great deal about how the industry works and what it takes to become successful.

Here's some of my story.

In my early days I was the lead singer of The Montclairs, a doo-wop group, that was relegated to singing on street corners and in subway stations. I graduated from that group to "Little Red", a group which concentrated on writing and performing originals.  In 1974 I joined "Manhattan Heights",a disco show group, with which I traveled the country. In 1980 I started writing country songs and after a few had been published in Nashville, my wife and I moved here in 1982.

Let me catch you up quickly. Since 1982 I've hosted songwriter shows at Douglas Corner Cafe, Caffe Milano and Manhattan's.  I've written reviews for Music Row Magazine, worked as a booking agent for Buddy Lee Attractions and managed three different artists. I've also helped a couple of songwriters get writing deals.

I now do a radio show at Volunteer State Community College and have had some wonderful guests join me on that show. Recently I became a recording engineer and have co-produced a collection of children's songs for Miss Pamela Piersyn. We are in marketing mode at the moment on that project.

I am continually looking for talent with whom I can work and help progress to the best success they can attain.
